Modifying of Pharmaceutical Facility License

About the Service

This service allows modifications to pharmaceutical facility licenses, including changes to the facility name and location.

Service Process

• If the modification involves relocating the facility:
• Log in using UAE PASS to start the service
• Fill out the application form
• Attach the required documents
• Pay the fees
• Submit the application
• The regulatory team conducts the preliminary inspection
• Upon passing the preliminary inspection, apply for initial approval.
• Once approved, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is issued for relevant government entities (e.g., Economic Departments, Municipalities).
• Submit the required documents for final approval.
• Pay the fees.
• Issue the pharmaceutical facility license.
• If the modification involves Modify / Change Facility Name:
• Log in using UAE PASS to start the service
• Fill out the application form.
• Attach the required documents.
• Pay the fees.
• Submit the application.
• The application will be approved, and a letter will be issued to the Department of Economic Development
• The trade license will be issued with the new name
• Submit a request for final approval
• Issue the license with the new name

Conditions & Requirements

• The facility's license must be valid.

Required Documents

• Relocation of the Facility:
• Initial Approval for Relocation:
• A site plan map for the new facility location, approved by the municipality
• A request letter from the institution
• A site photo
• Final Approval for Relocation:
• A valid lease agreement
• A copy of the valid commercial license issued by the Economic Development Department, including details of the new site
• Change of Facility Name:
• initial Approval for Changing the Name of a Pharmaceutical Facility:
• A request letter from the owner to change the facility name
• A commercial name reservation certificate issued by the Economic Development Department
• Final Approval for Changing the Name of a Pharmaceutical Facility:
• A valid copy of the commercial license issued by the Economic Development Department with the new name
